Changing Of The Seasons

change1

As the weather outside changes, so does our beauty care routine. We not only change our boots out for sandals but our makeup changes from matte to glossy, and we swap our heavy creams for light moisturizers. Our skin has different needs based on the seasons, and we also change up our makeup to fit the latest trends. Here’s a list of some easy changes to make as we enter in this warmer weather.

Lip products: There are are certain colors that tend to go with a particular season, so now is the time to bring out all the pink, coral, orange, and peach shades! Not only are those shades more Spring appropriate, but we also like to change up the finish of our favorite lip products. A creme or glossy finish is the perfect playful touch for Spring. We love Buxom’s full on lip cream in White Russian which is a gorgeous pale pink gloss. It pairs perfectly on top of any lipstick or lipliner, or even wear it alone!

Moisturizers: During the cold Winter months we tend to get the most hydrating, thick, or rich moisturizer we can get our hands on. But as the weather warms up, our skin is less dry and a little more nourished. Therefore we recommend switching your extra rich moisturizer for a lighter one. Our Spring/Summer favorite is Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, an ultra lightweight moisturizer perfect for morning and evening.

Primer/Setting Sprays: Another popular trend that blossoms in Spring is dewy skin! Matte skin is ultra popular in the Winter months, but come Springtime we love glowy, dewy skin! Our favorite primer is Becca Backlight Priming Filter. It give a subtle shimmer to the skin, giving you the perfect healthy Summer glow. We also love Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist to spray before or after makeup for extra glowy skin.
Try switching some of your products to their Springtime alternatives. Embrace lighter skincare, glossy lips, and extra dewy skin.
