We are now entering the cooler seasons when the weather can wear on our skin. The air gets drier, the wind picks up, and we don’t get as much sunshine. Here at Beauty Coach we have some tips and tricks to add to your daily routine though Fall and Winter this year.
First off, the number one reason for dull skin is excess build up of dead skin cells. The best way to rid dead skin is to exfoliate! Adding an exfoliator or face scrub to your routine three times a week is a sure way to maintain bright skin. We love Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant which leaves your skin feeling as if you just got a facial. Another way to maintain exfoliating your skin is to incorporate a toner into your skincare routine. Toners are best used after your cleanser and always follow with a moisturizer. Using a toner, such as Fresh Rose Marigold Tonic Water, helps to remove excess makeup, oils, dead skin cells, and buildup throughout the day.
Another important factor to radiant skin is hydration! Your skin needs moisture to maintain a luminous, supple appearance. Drinking lots of water will give your skin a healthy glow from the inside out. Also using a hydrating moisturizer twice a day will keep the moisture locked in. We recommend La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream for a luxurious feel. Since we also don’t get as much sunshine during these months, it could be beneficial to add a few supplements such as Vitamin D, Vitamin B, and Vitamin C. Drinking orange juice and/or juicing can also fill your diet with the nutrients needed for healthy skin.
Try wearing some luminous makeup to give off the radiant appearance you desire. Our favorite primer is Becca Backlight Priming Filter to give an allover smooth, healthy, radiant glow. Or you can add a face highlight, like Ofra Cosmetics Rodeo Drive Highlighter, to the high points of your face. A few other tips to maintain glowy skin would be to add a humidifier to your bedroom or office, and keep a facial mist nearby for a quick fix.
Don’t let the weather dull your sparkle. No matter how cold, rainy, or cloudy it can be, use these tips to keep your skin feeling fresh and radiant.
