A Change Of Season

Sometimes, our lives get so routine and boring, that we all need a way to switch things up a bit! And one of the coolest things that’s super easy to change is our hair. Not only is hair change not permanent, (so if you don’t like your switch up: it’ll grow back a fresh canvas) but also the most noticeable difference. After all, your hair sits right on top of your head! And of course, here at Beauty Coach, we’re all about encouraging you to try new things. That’s why we’ve got some great tips for changing up your hair!

Style It:
For those of us who are too scared to make a drastic change like chop off our locks or dye it, the perfect solution is to style it in ways that you normally wouldn’t. Instead of beach waves, try creating a fohawk up-do; or, instead of straitening your hair go ahead and curl it! But of course, a great hairstyle is nothing without the products that go into it. We love using Unite’s Creamy Thickening Paste to add thickness and volume, and Oribe’s Texturizing Spray, to make sure that our hair is ready to be styled!

Accessorize It:
Don’t have time to style it? No problem! At Beauty Coach, we believe that less is more. So try adding some accessories to spice up your everyday look. When you simply don’t have time to do anything more than throw our hair in a ponytail: look into scrunchies. Channeling our 80’s and 90’s inspirations, use accessories like TJ Maxx’s 8 pack of Elastics and Scrunchies! Another awesome accessory that we recommend is throwing on a hat. From big rimmed ones to baseball caps, you can never go wrong so definitely try it out!

Cut It and Dye It:
Finally, for those looking to go all out with a new-do in order to switch things up, cutting and dying hair is the perfect way to go! Now, this step we recommend going to a professional salon to do. Communicate with your stylist to make sure that you achieve the look you want. Let them know what kind of cut and color you want, and even if you end up not liking it: a professional is sure to fix it better than your at home kit can.

Nevertheless, to take care of your hair after a transformation like that, make sure you’re moisturizing! Use a good conditioner that’s suited for your hair type. Make sure to keep your dye job (if applicable) in mind as well. For those going lighter and going blonde, try R+CO’s Sunset Boulevard Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner. And for those going darker and brunette, use OGX’s Bamboo Radiant Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner duo!

Be sure to let us know how you like to switch things up with your hair!
