A Show-Stopping – and Totally Noteworthy – Makeover for LeAnn Rimes

As the barometer dips and chic, oversized sweaters take the place of bohemian-inspired summer frocks, we here at Beauty Coach are definitely feeling the urge to update our warm-weather locks – because we know that switching up your style can be the perfect way to reinvent your look, with ease.

So when our very own Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, 901 Salon Co-Owners, were given the opportunity to team up with Justin Anderson, Creative Director of dpHUE, on crafting a fresh, new look for one of our favorite songbirds, LeAnn Rimes – we were totally on-board!

“LeAnn has been a longtime client of Justin’s, so it was great to have the opportunity to work collaboratively with him on creating her new look,” said Nikki.

The three artists worked closely together to create a custom style for LeAnn. Taking their cues from the country music singer, they ultimately decided on a style that would give her flexibility, versatility, while helping her to emphasize her playful side – and embrace the spirit of the holidays. “I get bored easily with my hair,” confirms LeAnn, “so I wanted to play a bit and switch up my normal blonde for something deeper and warmer during the colder months.”

Justin and LeAnn joined forces on the color, which they decided should be a rich shade of brown. “I love a dark, glossy brunette during this time of year,” says Justin. “Next,” adds Nikki, “Riawna and I agreed that adding fullness to her hair but keeping it short was going to be the best look. We used Great Lengths extensions, and sprinkled them throughout, for just a touch of added fullness and texture. Riawna gave a textured cut, which can be rocked wavy or straight, depending on LeAnn’s mood.” The finished look was both classic, and on-trend.

Beauty Coach tip: Riawna and Nikki are predicting that this holiday season will usher in new hues – and purposeful cuts. “We’re expecting to see a lot of powerful, bold colors whether that be a rich brown, honey bronze, or platinum blonde. And lots of purposeful haircuts! Short or long – but not a lot of in between lengths.”
In between color services, LeAnn will use a simple, four-step system to help to keep her color perfectly glossy – and totally saturated.

Step 1: dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Salt Scrub. Post-color, we pampered LeAnn’s hair and scalp with dpHUE’s signature treatment scrub. Formulated with pink Himalayan sea salt to slough dead skin cells, plus avocado oil and aloe vera to soothe and calm irritation, LeAnn’s tresses were left looking gorgeous and shiny. Enhanced color-locking technology will help to preserve her hue’s intensity in between services.

Step 2: dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse. Next, we’ll gently cleanse LeAnn’s hair with dpHUE’s multifunctional rinse, which can be used as a shampoo or conditioner substitute. Formulated with ultra-nourishing argan oil, lavender extract, and aloe vera, it’s the next step in keeping hair looking healthy, beautiful and restored.

Step 3: dpHUE Argan Oil Therapy. At Beauty Coach, we know that it’s essential to deeply nourish color-treated strands – plus protect against the effects of heat styling. So we coated LeAnn’s tresses with dpHUE’s lightweight oil treatment, formulated with argan oil, lavender extracts, liquid shea butter, and vitamins A and E. The results were perfectly lustrous locks with ample volume!

Step 4: dpHUE Apple Cider Vinegar Dry Shampoo. In between washes, LeAnn will use dpHUE’s oil absorbing dry shampoo. It touts antimicrobial properties to gently cleanse the hair and scalp – perfect for refreshing any style, with ease!

So whether you’re looking for a hairstyle overhaul like LeAnn, or you prefer to start with a small shift in style, now is the perfect time to do it. Embrace the joyful spirit of the season – and get a fabulous look that will carry you through the holidays, and well into the New Year!

XOXO,
