Beat The Heat!!!

Sometimes you just can’t avoid heat, especially when it comes to your hair. In this day and age, it’s completely normal to style our hair every day and apply a hot iron to it, or even blow dry after our showers. Not only that, but even going out in hot weather and exposure to the sun can really take a toll on our hair. Heat exposure to the hair causes it to be stripped of it’s natural oils, moisture, and proteins, creates split ends, and leaves hair dull and unflattering. So here at Beauty Coach we’re here to help you minimize hair damage, without changing your routine!

First, we recommend prepping the hair before styling. Using products like CHI’s Silk Infusion, not only works to reconstruct hair damage, but also prevents future damage as well. This rich product protects against styling and environmental heats, making sure that you don’t sacrifice heat for healthy hair.

Next, protect the hair from the sun. Now this doesn’t mean staying inside or carrying around an umbrella. Protecting your hair from UV exposures that sometimes do more harm than styling tools. Try Bare Republic’s Eco Active Haircare UV Protection Mist. This product is a 5 in 1 mist that serves as your hair’s sunscreen. It has protecting, conditioning, detangling, shine, and anti frizz properties. Also, if you’re in need of some dry shampoo, Bare Republic’s UV Protection Dry Shampoo, also helps to stop harmful rays as well, and makes your hair look and feel fresh and new!

The next step is to but be sure you’re choosing the the right tools. For example, here at Beauty Coach, we strongly suggest CHI’s Onyx Ceramic Crimping Iron. Ceramic irons heat the hair by distributing the heat across the ceramic plates evenly, making sure not to overheat the hair. CHI’s iron has multiple heat settings, so that you’re able to customize the amount of heat that your hair needs, that way you don’t damage your locks! It also helps to add shine to the hair, making it look healthy and pretty!

Finally, we recommend hairstyles that don’t call for you to use heating tools. Try air drying your hair after showers and try styles like braids and buns that are super in this year! Let us know how this works out!

XOXO,
