Time waits for no one. Now, this is especially true if you happen to find yourself succumbing to the tasks of everyday life, and you just don’t seem to have enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. So here at Beauty Coach, we understand if you don’t have time to do your hair in the mornings… but that doesn’t mean you can’t spend a few minutes before bed in order to get the perfect morning do!
Here’s a fun tip: braiding or twisting your hair at night can not only achieve the same desired affect as styling in the morning – but it also shaves off so much time! But more often than not, the desired result can fall short of our expectations if we don’t know how to do it properly. That’s why it’s our job to give you a step by step guide to quick, easy, and effortless hair styles you can achieve while you sleep!
First off is prep. No matter what you’re trying to do with your hair, if the foundation doesn’t start off good, then you’ll end up with limp, lifeless hair in the morning. We recommend that you use Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Soft Waves Sea Salt Spray all over your locks before proceeding to braid/twist. Also, try Christophe Robin’s Volumizing Mist for added lift.
Next, there are a few different ways you can create a stylish, overnight hairdo. Braiding the hair is a sure way to get an effortless wave. But if you want more Victoria’s Secret inspired curls, split the hair into four sections: two on top and two on bottom. Twist the hair around itself. Be sure to twist on the side, so that you don’t sleep on your knot, and be sure to twist away from the face. Be sure to secure your hair really well, so that it won’t fall out as you sleep. We recommend using some No Crease Ponytail Holders, so that it’s not only more comfortable for overnight, but won’t damage your hair either.
In the morning, take out your hair from it’s constraints and add some texturizing spray into your hair for added lift and body. Products like Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray works wonders, as well as lasts throughout the day. Spray with your favorite hairspray, and finally: use a hair oil, such as Ouai’s Hair Oil, to smooth away flyways and add some shine to your locks!
