Festival Season Do’s

With festival season less than a month away, we can’t wait to celebrate! Here at Beauty Coach, festival season is definitely our favorite season. The music, the friends, the palm trees: what’s there not to love? And although it’s super fun to connect with other people and to experience the music, we know it can get tough to make sure that you’re feeling 100% for the duration of the festival. That’s why here at Beauty Coach, we’ve put together some easy wellness tips for staying on you’re A-game all weekend long!

Hydrate
When you’re having fun, it can be easy to forget to take a sip of water. But in an environment like that of a festival, it’s going to do some serious damage if you don’t. Heat exhaustion and dehydration are huge culprits of bad times at festivals. Try drinking at least 8oz of water before you start your day. We recommend drinking coconut water too: a healthy second to just plain water.

Eat Well
This one might be obvious, but with all the food trucks and bags of snacks that are so easily accessible at festivals, something this simple can be overlooked. With moving around all day, you’ll want to eat a big breakfast. This way, you’ll start the day off with peak energy. Be sure to carry lots of snacks, especially fruits that hold a lot of water, like apples.

Protect
Speaking of coconuts, be sure to moisturize! Tarte’s Drink of H2o Hydrating Boost Moisturizer Rainforest of the Sea is formulated with coconut, ensuring that your skin stays hydrated and smooth. Protect your skin from getting damaged by the sun’s UV rays, which is everywhere at festivals. But equally as important, you should protect your eyes as well. UV rays can impair your vision permanently, which is why we recommend wearing sunglasses. Quay Australia’s Muse Fade Sunglasses are trendy, and perfect for festival season. But more importantly, they’re made last, and have 100% UV ray protection.

Tan
With all the sun you’ll be getting it’s pretty much impossible not to build a tan. However, we know it can be harder to tan on some skin types than others, or if you do tan, we have to deal with it looking uneven. So here at Beauty Coach, we recommend trying a tanning lotion. St. Tropez Tanning Essentials helps to build your tan evenly and smoothly. Also, it’s hydrating enough to last you through the desert winds.

Plan and Spontaneity
Keep your mind at ease in the midst of all the hectic-ness of festivals. As great as they are, they can also be overwhelming; so much in fact, that we forget how to breathe. So, be sure to plan not only your events, but your breaks as well. Step back, and let your body and mind rest. It’s easy to get so caught up in the moment that we don’t listen to our bodies when it tells us it needs a break. But amidst all your planning, don’t forget to have fun and be spontaneous as well! After all, the best times in life are the ones that are unplanned.

XOXO,
