Oscar Makeup Obsessions!

We’re still buzzed about the Oscars, and we have got to talk to you guys about our absolutely favorite makeup looks! Don’t you worry; we’re going to give you some tips and tricks on how to recreate some of our outright faves!

Jennifer Garner
Come on…what’s not to love? We know we just talked about her fab hair, but we couldn’t resist talking about her makeup too! She’s fantastic, and we are always stunned by her flawless looks on the red carpet. This year, Jennifer gave us a little more glam than she usually does and we absolutely LOVED it! She rocked some blue liner on her eyes and it gave her a sexy edge while still keeping her looking soft and effortless. Who says that you can’t wear color on your eyes? It can be very intimidating, but the trick is to use it sparingly. Try the NARS Larger than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Rue-Saint Honor. It’s a beautiful deep royal blue that’s flattering on all skin tones. It makes for the perfect alternative to black or brown! Apply it above your lashes for a unique liner look, or apply a touch underneath your eyes and blend it out with a brush to achieve a soft and sexy look like Jennifer’s!

Betty Gabriel
The “Get Out” superstar made quite an impression on the red carpet. This was her Oscar debut, and she was certainly not messing around! Her makeup was totally complimentary to her dress and we love how it didn’t compete with it. Her skin was highlighted and bronzed and her lips were topped off with a neutral berry color. To duplicate this look, you’ve got to try Jouer Cosmetics’ powder highlighters. For Betty’s skin tone, a combination of “Skinny Dip” and “Tan Lines” would make for the perfect bronzey look on the eyes and cheeks. For more fair skin tones, be sure to check out “Citrine”. It’s the perfect champagney nude that will easily highlight your eyes and cheeks. To achieve a comparable lip color, try MAC’s pro Longwear Lip Liner in “Absolutely It”. It’s a soft burgundy that looks beautiful on absolutely EVERYONE! Use a touch on this pencil and blend it out with your favorite lip balm for a soft and hydrated look or fill your lips in all the way for bold statement that’s sure to turn heads!

It’s hard not to talk about Zendaya’s unbelievable Oscar look over and over, so you’ll just have to forgive us! We couldn’t resist the opportunity to gush about her flawless face. We were completely in love with her bronzy smokey eyes, and we couldn’t wait to try it for ourselves! Smokey eyes don’t necessarily mean that you have to use super dark colors; you can achieve a sultry, smokey look with beautiful browns! Try Chanel’s Les 4 Ombres in 226 Tisse Rivoli. It’s the perfect eyeshadow quad to recreate this iconic look. Use the lightest gold (top right) on the inside corners of your eyes, the darkest brown (bottom right) in the crease to get that diffused look, and alternate the other two shadow colors on your eyelids. The dark brown also makes for striking eyeliner! There are so many ways to use these, so don’t be afraid to play! Just because you get four colors doesn’t mean that you have to use all of them at the same time. It’s designed for you to use on any occasion!

We hope you have fun recreating our favorite Oscar looks as much as we did!
