The Bed Head Hotel Pops-Up at Lollapalooza

Once a year, downtown Chicago goes into shutdown mode as hordes of music-loving fans descend onto Grant Park for Lallapalooza. And though the famed festival is an institution unto itself, we here at Beauty Coach are feeling some kind of way about Tigi’s The Bed Head Hotel festival pop-up, which took place at Freehand Chicago – because, hair (and all things beauty).

And beauty did indeed take the forefront: The Bed Head Team transformed Freehand’s 16th floor penthouse space into a Mecca for luxe concert-goers and performers, alike. The space, dubbed the NYLON lounge, featured a custom-designed flower wall plus tons of pre and post festival offerings. From gourmet eats and live entertainment to complimentary hairstyling by Bed Head and makeup touchups by beGlammed, VIP’s enjoyed an experience that was anything but basic.

Attendees included Bria Vinaite of The Florida Project, Festival Performer Madison Beer, Amber James of The Bachelorette, plus actors Sergio Darcy Lane and Brittney Berault with DJ Performances by Dani Thorne and Caroline D’Amore.

Festival-favorite styles included Madison Beer’s bedazzled bun, Caroline D’Amore’s glitter up-do, and Dani Thorne’s purple, pink and blue unicorn-inspired hue, which was pre-colored by Bed Head.

And though the hair and makeup were goals-worthy, we’re also crushing on the other top-notch accommodations provided at the NYLON lounge. Event goers relaxed on Lovesacs, enjoyed codes from Postmates, were spotted playing with Sphero Mini neon robots, plus refreshed on Lifeway Kefir and Elixer, Omission Beer, High Brew Coffee, Boxed Water and Brew Dr. Kombucha. They also walked away with clear festival totes and fanny packs courtesy of JustFab.

The experience was top-notch – and full of unexpected surprises! So, kudos, to The Bed Head Hotel. We here at Beauty Coach love all things extra – and the NYLON lounge redefined our very definition of the word ‘destination.’

XOXO,
Beauty Coach Team
